Meet the Pastor
Meet the Pastor and Family
Rev. Kevin Morris is a Florida native, born in Leesburg. He was baptized at the First Presbyterian Church in Leesburg. He and his parents moved to Sarasota when he was six. He is the oldest of three. His two younger sisters and parents still call Sarasota home.
Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Western Carolina University in 1986. After a few years in the secular world he felt the call from God to ministry. He graduated from Columbia Theological Seminary in 1992, earning a Master of Divinity degree. During the time in seminary, Kevin met Kim. They married in the summer of 1992. They moved to Kentucky where Kevin served two churches during his first call. Kim, who practiced law in Georgia, continued to practice in Kentucky.
Shannon, their first child, was born in 1994. Joshua, their second and last, arrived in 1996. With the desire to be closer to family and feeling the nudge from the Lord, the four moved to Dade City in 1999. Kim passed her third bar exam and is a partner at Greenfelder, Mander, Murphy, Dwyer and Morris. Shannon enjoys dancing and attends Pasco High School. Josh is learning piano, plays a lot of tennis and attends Pasco Middle School.
Locally, Rev. Morris is a member of the Dade City Rotary Club, Northeast Pasco Ministerial Association, and is a board member of the Cornerstone Center for Women. He participates in the Tampa Bay Presbytery in various capacities.
